The tenth of October was a date that I been looking forward to since last month; because my school announced that they had organized a trip to Luray Caverns. I was very happy about the trip and I decided to take Elliott with me as my date:-). When the day arrived, I woke up at 7:00am to fix some food and a snack for the trip. We were supposed to be at the school at 8:30am to take the bus together with everyone to Luray Caverns. I was late and I called Maria (who had organized that trip) to tell her that I was late but I was on my way. She said “the bus is about to leave.” I asked her, “can you wait, I am on my way?.” She said “ok I will wait five minutes.” So Caroline drove me and children to the school so that I could join the trip. Unfortunately when we arrived at the school, everyone was gone, and I had tried calling the school over and over but no one picked up the phone, Caroline drove around the school five minutes hoping that they were somewhere around waiting for us, but no! They were all gone.
I was very sad and disappointed and so was Caroline, We looked at each other and both acted upset, because she knew that Elliott and I were very excited about the trip but now everyone had gone without us. I know it was my fault! I thought a little bit late should be no problem, because last year school trip some people were late and I had to wait for them for an hour.
After we drove back home, Caroline suggested that we go to coffee shop, then go to IKEA to buy some furniture for my room and some plants to decorate my room so that I could feel better about having missed my trip.
Now my room and the house look much better than before!
