My great essay at school ( Update 2)

Having lunch with Joe at Tonic, very sweet man and very interesting to talk to him about Cambodia. All the foreigner that I have known always knew about Cambodia than me...

Now every week my teacher gives me a essay to write, because she thinks I'm ready for GED. She tries to makes me work harder on essay, and this is my best essay that made my teacher very happy.

Topic: Who is your best friend?

Friends are something that everyone need, and there are many different types of friends.

There are some people that you have known for a long time and you called them friends, but you do not hangout together very often. There are good friends that you repeatedly meet or call to share something interesting, and then there are best friends that you shared everything with, including your secret that you do not like to share with anyone else.

In general there are not many friends that you can call your best friend, because best friends need to have attitudes and interests in common. Best friends should be trustworthy, helpful, honest, sensitive, and supportive and more… and also would like to share activities with each other.

Do I have a best friend? Yes I do! My best friend is very pretty, generous, smart, helpful, and funny, and her name is Caroline Sage. Caroline is Australian, and she is 38 years old. She is 5’ 9” has white skin and she has a beautiful smiling face with bright eyes and beautiful red hair.

Caroline work at the World Bank and she is also my boss; but to me she is very special because she is more than just a boss. I share everything about me with her, and she is always interested in knowing about my life. Since I have known Caroline, she has never acted like my boss at all, she always acts like she is my best friend or my sister; she regards me as a member of her family.

If I tell Caroline a secret she will never tells it to someone else. Sometimes I feel very tired and unhappy for some reasons. She tries to talk nicely to me and/or takes me out for dinner to make me relax and feel better. If I get upset or have any problem to discuss with her, she makes every effort to understand, be supportive and then give me her honest opinion.

We often talk about me because she is trying to help me have more possibilities to work in different countries and to travel around the world. She knows that I’m from a poor country (Cambodia) and it is difficult to travel and work in a rich country such as the United States.

Sometimes we both are very tired and feel very confused about getting upset with each other for no reasons, but after a while we makeup because we care about each other very much. Caroline and her family are mean a lot to me, her help and her support encourage me to keep moving on with my life, and going in the direction that I always want to go.

Early next year Caroline and her family will move to Bangkok Thailand for her works and I will stay in America to continue my studies. I will be very sad and miss them and her very much because of everything that we have done together. Even though she’s won’t be here I will never forget how wonderful she has been to me. The love and care that she has for me will remand in my heart forever.
